If life is a story, then in theory your life is a book or a series of books. So how does that break down? Is each day that we have broken down into sub-chapters, is a day an outline, is a day a character development. How would one describe a day?
A great day, one wants to share with others. Your mood is high and you are feeling all the things that make the day, well great, lets shout it from the roof top. Why not share that feeling. On the flip, when we have a bad day, a flat out awful day, we want to hide, sulk, ignore everyone. Or we want to yell, punish, blame others for our bad days, guess it depends on the type of person you are. For most of us, most days fall just exactly between these two areas. They aren’t rainbows and raindrops on whiskers, but they also aren’t thorns and dragon breath either.
How do these days fall into our stories? Are they just a page? Are they a sub-plot? How do they intermix with who we are as a whole?
My answer to this is simple. They can be any or all of those things. Each day, average, great, awful, good, bad, indifferent, et cetera, is exactly what we make it out to be in our story. I never think its okay to take your feelings out on others, but I am not telling you how to live your life either. But I do want you to think of how any action or reaction has gotten you to the point in your life that you are in now.
Is your story playing out how you want? If we turn the page, will the story look the same? Is that what you want? If so, I APPLAUD you! Truly I do. It is hard to get what you really want out of life, I mean this 100% Most of us do not get exactly what we want, but we are happy. Or are you one of the ones that, if we turn the page you aren’t going to be even remotely happy? Does the story still look bleak? Let’s fix this!
Tomorrow is a new day. Yes major cliche’ time there, but it is true. Start small with the changes, switch your breakfast or morning routine, just something that you know is switched. Going all big at one time is not going to work. We want this sub-chapter to turn into a new book. After all, it is time for your story to begin.
